Energy management: Specialcavi’s new policy

14.06.2024

Specialcavi has launched a new energy policy as an integral part of its certification process according to the international ISO 50001 standard. This standard guides organizations in adopting an Energy Management System aimed at improving energy efficiency in a structured, sustainable, and measurable way.

A concrete commitment

Specialcavi has initiated the certification process under the international ISO 50001 standard as formal recognition of a commitment already deeply embedded in the company’s energy management. Efficiency and sustainability have long been integral to the company’s strategic and operational choices, which have already implemented several concrete measures to reduce consumption and environmental impact.

Actions speak louder than intentions

Among the measures already implemented are the installation of photovoltaic systems for self-consumption and the integration of energy monitoring systems across all production lines and machinery, aiming to track consumption in real-time and optimize resource use. These initiatives stem from an industrial vision focused on sustainability and continuous improvement, rather than a reaction to external trends or market pressures.

A future-oriented vision

The decision to certify under the ISO 50001 standard reflects the desire to formalize and enhance these practices through recognition by a third-party body, ensuring transparency, traceability, and continuity over time. The Energy Management System will thus be further integrated into business processes, helping to consolidate a culture of efficiency throughout the organization.

The company looks to the future with responsibility and determination, aware that every step toward more conscious energy management represents a concrete contribution to the ecological transition and the creation of shared value for the environment, customers, and the community.
